Italy is consistently one of the most-requested destinations for independent travel advisors. It suits a wide range of clients (honeymooners, families, anniversary trips, solo travelers) and the classic Rome, Florence, Amalfi Coast routing gives you a solid foundation to customize around each client's priorities and budget.
This template is structured the way advisors actually work, not the way travel blogs write destination guides. It is day-by-day blocks you can adapt, not a narrative overview to hand to a tourist.

Customizing this template per client
For honeymooners: Add private experiences: private boat charter on Day 8 instead of the public ferry, in-room champagne on arrival, and a sunset dinner reservation on a terrace rather than a busy piazza.
For families: Replace the Capri day trip with a slower beach day. Add gelato notes throughout. Remove the wine country option and replace with a cooking class that is family-friendly.
For luxury clients: Upgrade the train to a private car transfer for Rome to Florence. Replace mid-range hotels with properties like the Hotel de Russie in Rome, Portrait Firenze, or Il San Pietro di Positano on the Amalfi Coast.
For shorter trips (7 days): Cut one Rome day and skip the Accademia and Florence day trip. The core of Rome (2 nights), Florence (2 nights), Amalfi (3 nights) works well.
Sending this as a client portal
If you are using TripProspect, each of these day blocks becomes a block in the itinerary builder. Your client receives a branded portal link they can check on their phone throughout the trip, not a PDF they will lose in their downloads folder.
You can add confirmation numbers, photos of each property, and a direct approval button so clients confirm the plan before you finalize bookings.
If you want to understand what makes a portal itinerary more useful than a PDF during the trip itself, we cover that in how to deliver a trip itinerary your clients actually use.
